Drop-off Guidelines
We base our consignment guidelines on 17 years of experience and sales trends. If you will be offended for any reason if your items are donated on your behalf, please do not plan to leave them. Below, we provide extensive guidelines, but ultimately, we make the decision on what goes on our sales floor.
In general everything must be sales floor ready (clean, working, while following our guidelines). If we are unable to take more than 80% of your items you will risk account closure.
Come in our intake doors and put your items into our tote, leave anywhere out there.-Always arrive prepared with your own label to mark your container & any larger items prior to arrival including date/name/phone#/acct
-larger items not able to fit into your tote are often expedited and your tote will still be coming thru in the normal time frame (8 weeks). We do not accept items in trash bags left in our totes, items must be neatly transferred over with clothing removed off of hangers, and neatly folded.
-Clothing items must be three years older or less. (exceptions are vintage and classic styles)
Baby strollers, highchairs, cribs, Pack N' Plays, & baby equipment must be 6 years old or less and not on recall. Items multiple parts must be put together before bringing to consign. The only exception to this rule is if they are new in package.
All baby equipment must be free of stains, food, and be in *like new condition*
-Glassware/dishes (unless vintage) must be in sets of 4 or greater(not serving dishes)These items must be recently put through a dishwasher & wrapped in cardboard boxes.
Items with pet hair will be donated
We do not accept used sheets/towels
-Please be aware that if your items have any odor at all like smoke/mothballs they will be immediately disposed of and your account will be closed
-Limit of 10 per drop off on books,record albums, kids DVDs,shoes, jewelry
-Lamps must have a light-bulb, a $1 fee per bulb will be charged on the account if missing. Items that require batteries must have working batteries as everything must be displayed in working order.
Please remove dry cleaning tags.
Scarves: in regard to scarves we take cashmere, silk & comparable price points, otherwise new with tags-When bringing items with any loose parts please make sure they are very clean and all parts are in a ziploc bag and taped to the item, any info/instructions are appreciated especially on complicated toy sets
-We do take jewelry, You may bring 10 jewelry items at a time, must have a resale value of at least $13 per item
-Handbags and wallets,phone cases must have a resale value of at least $20 each
-Baby/Kid's clothes -place laundered outfits together laid flat in our tote
In a nutshell, we strongly suggest you walk through our store before you decide to consign, this gives you a much clearer understanding of what we are taking & selling. We take things customers are willing to buy, near perfect, desirable items.
What we DO NOT Accept: Category Clothing & Decor
-curtain rods,custom drapes,curtain panels with a value less than $40, old phone cases, used kids potty seats, scarves do not sell unless silk type (Hermes) or vintage,no precious moments, no collectible figurines worth less than $40 retail, No Lava lamps, golf clubs, collectible dolls, figurines (unless willowtree), collectible plates, wigs, gps navigation, exercise equipment,DVDS(unless kids,vhs, used knives
no women's demim less than $70 retail(except old navy), No clothing +3years (unless in style vintage), Mens dress shoes, men’s or women’s suits/blazers or business clothing/dress pants/ties, scrubs, lingerie (unless new, or high end in impeccable condition), cd's, printers,used underwear/socks, prom, bridesmaid and wedding gowns.
Bedding: We only accept comforters new in the package. We do accept gently used or new quilts/duvet covers/pillow shams that are the following high-end brands or similarly styled to the following brands - anthropologie, restoration hardware, pottery barn, sundance. There are always of course some exceptions such as beautiful handmade items that have sold well in the past and we always welcome our consignors to email us photos of these items for review.
What we DO NOT Accept: Category Furniture
No Cherry dining sets, no vintage clocks or grandfather clocks, sewing tables, vintage sewing machines,large entertainment armoires, glass top tables (unless outside), old sewing machines, Tvs +2years (must include base & remote)

We are pleased you want to join in our success! BY LEAVING YOUR ITEMS FOR CONSIGNMENT YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE BELOW TERMS:
You will receive 40% of the selling price of your items, items priced above $100 you will receive 50% of the selling price. Your items have 60 days to sell (this starts the day we put your item on our sales floor)The selling price can be reduced by us at any time (we offer a military discount) and reserve the right to put items on sale at any time per our discretion. Any UNSOLD items you would like to claim from the sales floor must be done prior to your 60 day end date.
IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO PICK UP YOUR ITEMS BEFORE YOUR 60 DAY END DATE THEY WILL CONVERT TO THE PROPERTY OF LULU’S CONSIGNMENT. We do not contact you in any way. We provide an online account portal for you to track your items, balance etc. We do our best to safeguard your items but cannot be responsible for customer damage or theft. A small buyers fee is added to your items to cover our processing expense, this fee is paid by the buyer, not you, the consignor.
You risk account closure by leaving COUNTERFEIT items or not pre-sorting your items according to our guidelines. Stop in any time we are open to collect money owed to you on your account (a check can be mailed upon request for a $1 processing fee by calling our store)
You UNDERSTAND ALL ITEMS WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT WILL BE DONATED TO A LOCAL WORTHY CAUSE
This is a trust based business. We have been here 17 years and would not risk our integrity by unnecessarily donating your items. We do not keep notes on every single thing donated that is impossible. Please realize if it is not on your account there was a reason. The only one who benefits from donation of items is you by getting a donation receipt directly from Council on Aging of Etowah or Hendersonville.*all accounts with no activity for 3 years will be automatically closed

Q:What is the consignment split? (china sets usually take longer as they are not the best sellers so we put them out as we have room.)Art/specialty items that require more research will take longer. Q:How do I pick up my items that didn't sell? A:You're more than welcome to pick up any items that we have accepted on the sales floor that did not sell within the 60 day selling period. Please find your items in the store and bring to the sales counter to be removed from your account.

From there you can see your items "Status" : ACTIVE-CONVERTED-SOLD Check ACTIVE items expiration date - This is the last day of your 60 day consignment periodPrint out items you wish to retrieve from the sales floor
Visit our store a few days before their expiration date to allow time to locate all items.
We pride ourselves in being extremely organized, however things are misplaced & moved by customers daily like every store you may visit. Our employees cannot help you locate your items. They will point you in the right direction of where these items might be but in the end these items are your individual items and only you know what they look like.If possible come to pick up your items Tuesday-Thursday, these are our slower days.
Once you locate your items please bring them to the front counter so our employees can remove the tickets and mark them as returned on your account.If you are trying to pick up seasonal specific items please email customer service at lulusconsignmentboutique@gmail.com or let an associate know so they can locate them in storage. They are pulled from the sales floor following a holiday.
Remember consignor accounts with no activity for 3 years will automatically be closed & you must request a new account by emailing lulusconsignmentboutique@gmail.com
